Vernon BC Area Beaches - Lakeshore Road Beach

Location:
Just South of Kin Beach and the Creek Outlet on Lakeshore Drive. Okanagan Lake.

Description:
This is one of the best natural beaches in Vernon and easily has the best sand. It is small with about 10 metres of sand it is a great place to bring little kids who love the sand. Even in the water the your feet will enjoyably sink into nice sand for the first 5 metres into the water. After that it does get a bit mucky, but then you can swim at that point. Behind the beach is a non-watered grassy area. The water quality is generally murky because of all the wave action caused by the generally steady breeze down the bay. Generally there is a lot of stuff washed up on the beach so bring a rake and do a good deed and clean up the weeds and garbage.

Distance from Downtown Vernon BC:
Roughly ? kms.

Amenities:
Grassy area for picnics.

Access:
There is a bus stop a block down the street. There is limited parking but lots of street parking.
